Passive RFID Tag for Rail and Transportation Applications
The TT-500-AAR is a next-generation RFID tag for rail and transportation applications. Compatible with legacy RFID readers including TransCore® Amtech-brand and TransCore® Encompass multi-protocol reader systems, the TT-500-AAR is a high-performance, AAR-S918A compliant tag for vehicle chassis, rail cars or intermodal containers. We designed the tag to be compliant with the AAR-S918A specification to ensure that customers can try the Thinkfiy TT-500-AAR without risk. Any AAR-S918A compliant reader system should work with the tag.
The TT-500-AAR is beam-powered, meaning it derives its power for operation from the RFID interrogator and does not require a battery. This gives the tag an extremely long service life and is environmentally friendly.
The TT-500-AAR incorporates recent advancements in RFID technology and brings them for the first time into the AEI/Rail market. Exceptional sensitivity, strong signal strength, an advanced antenna design and modern electrical protection differentiate the TT-500-AAR from other tags based on earlier designs.
The tag is one-time programmable, preventing unauthorized changes to data after commissioning. This programming operation can be performed at the factory or at the customer site using a Thinkify programming fixture.
The TT-500-AAR is RoHS-compliant and made in the USA.
